    Eta Transmissions

    I have heard that there are two different kinds of Eta tranny's, is this true?

    if so can you guys provide some pictures for me as i beileve i have both kinds but not out of car yet.

    1 has "PRNDL" and the other has "1-2-3-4-5-R", is that what you mean?

        I know a buddie of mines that bolted an eta tranny to an 325i engine. Worked Perfect.

            Not that I've ever heard of. There are some differences between the "i" and eta trannies though- but they are somewhat interchangeable. You can install an eta tranny in an "i" car with no problems, but the "i" tranny won't work in an eta car- because it lacks the holes in the bellhousing for the 2 engine sensors (speed + reference sensors).
