M20 Broken timing belt Fix or M30??

Euro 90 325i I have replaced or rebuild everything on this car except the motor. I started driving it and 2 days later the timing belt broke. I am having trouble finding a head right now except rebuilt ones for 400 euros. I told myself that I would do a motor swap if anything ever happens to this motor.
At the junk yard there is an e34 535i 5spd that overheated. Motor and tranny with accessories for about $300. Head needs checked out and unsure of miles as of right now.

I am not sure if I am going to be taking this car back to the states with me. It's $4000 plus shipping so 5G's
    What should I do??

I would just fix the head, find any M20 I motor head in a junk jard pull it, inspect and install

will cost you headbolts , TB, tensioner , gasket and some time, but willbe aolt easier and cheaper then puttin in an M30

Head gasket kit and timing belt kit $134 from Pelican. The only 2.5 head I found wasn't a 85 casting and when I pulled the valve cover the oil was really nasty. Might have been a blown HG. THere are M20B20 all over the place.

The draw back is that I only have until Thanksgiving, then I'll be gone for a year then have 3 months left here. I would have to rebuild it and get the motor mounts and radiator quick.

I would hate to sell this thing. I put 4 months and about $2000 into it. This site funded my car. Thanks to everyone that has bought euro goodies from me. I think I could ship and convert it and sell it and break even in the states. All parts have less than 200 miles on them. Here are a couple cell phone pics before I double stacked rear spring pads and took out the front ones. New Billies and IE3's
