    To solve this you need access to the wiring diagrams for the car, which can be found at



    Then you have to identify each wire that has been tampered with, figure out what that wire does, and what affect the mods might have on it. Or, perhaps simpler, put the car's wiring back to OE condition and then correctly re-install the audio gear.

    You didn't mention a previous alarm system that has been removed. That makes it even more likely that the cause of your problems lies in what's been done to the wiring.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      the alarm system wasnt even powered. all wires to it were disconnected . It was just ziptied in place. I am willing to tear everything apart and take another look. I am wondering whether my problem is a power issue or a ground issue.
