    325IC Stalling while driving

    I have a 1989 325ic
My car stalls while driving, however it starts back up, usually without me stopping…. this may occur once or twice a week. Whenever it stop its without hesitation the engine dies. This begin some months back, I have exchange a few parts due to no one here can tell me for sure what the hell is going wrong. In the beginning I had problems starting it in the morning. I change the wires and did a full tune up. That seam to work for about a month now it will die on me while IM driving, both high speed and around town, as I said before it will start back up. A few times 10 too 15 mins to start but it always start up. One point: the few times it took 10 too 15 mins to start my fuel pump was not pumping while the engine was turning over. (I held my hand on the pump as I was trying to start the engine) This leads me to think it was the fuel pump relay or the main switch, after reading and looking around. I wanted to see if any one has had this problem or have any insight on the problem. IM tired of doing the part swap thing. Thanks for any help anyone could offer.

Had a similar problem. Replaced the fuel pump. All's beautiful in the world :)

Hmm, didn't see where you said you replaced it.

clogged fuel filter? clamped fuel lines? bad fuel pump relay? Have you checked all that?

Check the relay, swap it if possible.

Also, check the wiring to the fuel pump to make sure it's not loose or anything.
