What else should be replaced?

...while entire suspension is off the car? Any bushings or other bits and pieces that should be replaced?

BTW- How can you tell if rubber bushings are bad. Tough, torn, cracked... any others?

Front or rear? How old is everything? How much $$ do you have?
Front....
Tie rods
Control arms
CA bushings
Strut mounts
sway bar end links
All hardware that you removed

Rear
Trailing arm mounts
Sway bar end links
shock tower mounts
Z3 STM rings

You can also swap out spring pads for thinker or thiner ones, this can raise or lower the car about 1/2 in.

How are the brakes? While everything is apart, it's a good time to work on them.

I have quite a bit of money (not necessarily for the car). It is a 13 year old car with 87K on it. The shocks, springs, and rear shock mounts will be replaced. Sway bar tabs will be welded on to the struts.

I am contemplating brakes. Maybe ate disks front and rear, stainless brake lines, new pads (Pagid?). I would like to take the calipers apart, paint them (or powder coat) and rebuild them.

Problem is, I cant have my car out of commision for too long.

Just noticed that ATE disks are front only. :)

they make rear discs too.... but they arent power discs they are just blanks.... thats what i got in my car... but i have a 25mm mastercylinder
