Sport seat adjuster not locking in place

Mine is not staying put. Anyway to fix this or is a new adjuster in order?

I think I know what you are talking about. Back of seat falls back when any pressure is applied.

There is not a way I know of to fix the actual mechanism. The way I repaired mine was de-assembling the seat, removing bracket, and replacing it with one that works from another seat.

Yea, sorry...the seat recline mechanism.

I was figuring that was gonna be the way to fix it.

Hoping I could do without replacing it.

Anyone know WHY it fails like it does? What is the root cause?
