Would you trust a Harbor Freight jack?

Harbor Freight has a couple of low-profile floor jacks on their website. I would like to buy one to get under my very-lowered E30.

    But are these jacks trustworthy?

I haven't bought anything from Harbor Freight and I am worried that they will be sketchy.

Yes have had mine since 2004 and still working. Store it wheels down so it doesn't leak and bleed it properly every now and then.

oh sport compact has 20% off coupon and jack coupon for the 1.5 ton aluminium jack for $59 and change.

Either of those should be okay. Floor jacks rarely suddenly fail when under load. Instead the seals leak and won't allow the jack to lift the car or it will slowly settle. You never support a car with a floor jack (that's what jack stands are for) so neither of the usual failures are anything to worry about.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It's not like you lay under the car with the jack supporting it. *Shifty eyes*

The only thing you should have to trust a jack for is to hold a car up long enough for you to put jack stands under it. I'm sure a harbor freight jack would work just fine.

I would look for a real jack used on CL. In a pinch HF is fine.
