no start

yesterday i attempted to do my own exhaust on my 85 325e which came out fine, but while welding it back to the stock headers i grounded it to the car instead of the exhaust like an idiot. from then on the car will not start , but i know for a fact my starter is shot but i dont here the fuewel pump either.think my ecu is fried anyone have any sugestions? plzzz

Lets start off with the obvious shit, like did you check the fuses for the ECU, did you check the main fusable link, that kind of stuff?
