We fixed the leak by clapming a vice grip over the heater core line until we could get a new valve. A new heater core valve took care of the problem.

i had the same problem.....does it do it only when it rains out? because on my '85 there is a 1" plug under the drivers side carpet and i think i hit somthing and mad it pop out. so every time it rained the water would spray up from the front tire and soak the carpet. if this is your prob then just go out and buy some silicone glue and glue the plug back in. worked for me.

I had a problem in my VW Rabbit with the sunroof where the drains for it were clogged. When I took corners after it rained all night I would get a shower of water on my lap, and would often show up to school looking like I just peed my pants.

While your not having that exact problem, it is very possible that some of the weather stripping on your door/window is messed up, or the sunroof is leaking water into the passenger compartment. Sometimes a car can leak and only affect one area, instead of all 4 (drivers and 3 passenger areas)
