    Z3M SSK

My M roadster Coupe SSK arrived along with the parts.

To be sure is this everything i need to install the SSK?

I hear that you have to bend the shift lever, is that true? if so how and wouldnt that damage the shift lever?

Any advice on install would be greatly appreciated, i have sheet metal console thanks.

If you have a 325is you don't have the sheet metal console. And those parts you have there are to install the lever into an aluminum console. If you don't remove the harmonic balancer on the driveshaft, you'll have to bend the lever.

Ken, I'm confused, because those are all the same parts that came iwth my shift kit when I bought it from BMA, I had the Z3 1.9, and my car was an 88.

the 88 would also have the aluminum consule. only pre 85 cars got the sheet metal consule in most cases. If you have the latter style consule those look like all the parts you'd need.

on mine I had to remove the harmonic balancer, AND bend the lever, I had to do both and I still only have around 4mm of clearance between shift lever and driveshaft

Your wouldn't want to bend the shift lever. Bend the selector rod, the rod between the shift lever and transmission, if you have to.

I think he's trying to match his number of R3V screenames with his number of AIM screenames. What is this, 3 now?
