The active check lights for brake lights and coolant are lit even after I replaced the burnt bulb and added coolant. Is this normal? How can I reset them?

Well...
Sometimes the break light one is wierd...i've heard that if you don't use silver backed bulbs it can stay on. Sometimes it takes a time or two of turning the car off for it to reset...besides pushing the check button. You could have a faulty sensor, possibly. -
my brake light stays on 'till i push the brakes.
my coolant light is always on because of a bad sensor. all i probablly need to do is take it out and clean it, but i havent gotten around to it.Comment

Brake light normal
It is part of the setup for the brake light to be on until you push them...this completes the circuit.Comment
