    Transporting M20?

I can get a good spare M20b25 uber cheap, just need to unbolt engine/trans mounts and rent a hoist and get it out of the shell so he can get rid of it. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good way to secure the engine in the truck bed for the 20 mile drive to my garage. Thought of making some kind of wood crate or maybe even sand bags to support it, but figured someone's done this before and could give me advice.

Set it right into an old unmounted tire in the truck bed, works like a charm.

add two tie down straps to prevent it from sliding.

make sure the tire is on the stiffer side, if its on a flimsy 13 in or so the tire will fold up and the engine will fall out of the truck somethin awful
