    leaky radiator

Just found out the car has a leaky radiotor. The shop says it will cost 200 bucks just for the part. Anway to get it cheaper? I have a freind that is really good with cars, do you think we will be capable of replacing it by our selves?

for all of those who say " just read the repair manuel", it is not at my house right now, so what will need to be done to replace the radiator? Disconnect the hoses and un-bolt it? Im sorry im not a car expert, I wasnt born with all the knowlege, and I dont go to a stuiped trade school to learn about this stuff so please help me out on this subject!

      thank you

Can you see where it's leaking from? You need to get more info if we're going to help.

darn, I'll try and get back to you on that one. The car was brought to the shop to get the coolent flushed and put some anti freeze in. They told her that her radiator was leaky and it will expload if he isnt replaced.

Just asked for more details... aparently It is leakin from the seams on the sides of the radiator.
