Hi, I have been lurking around here for a while, and have come up with a few questions regarding my 87 325e. It just turned 325K miles on the origional engine/tranny( I know this because it was a one owner, with complete history (a little obsessive with the history lol) But I eventually plan on swapping in a M50 someday.... They seem to be a little scarce here in South Carolina, and I am too nervus about buying one sight unseen. If any of you know someone with one for sale anywhere in S.C., or souther North carolina let me know. Anyways, here are my questions-
1. When I accelerate, the the car seems to lurch a little bit like the clutch maight be slipping? Is this somthing I can adjust, or do I need a new clutch? Is it even the clutch?
2. I am in need of new front rotors, and had been planning on buying a set from ebay such as these:
Are these any good, I have read in a couple of places that alot of the rotors on ebay are counterfit?
3. And finally, I have been looking at several short shift kits, I know the purpose of these, but my current shifter is very loose feeling, it will wobble back and forth a good inch in each direction in every gear, will one of this kits solve that or at least make it better?
Thanks for any advice, I have had my bimmer for about 2 years now, and it has gone from hated to loved, and is now my most driven car and I cant wait to start fixing it up.
