No ventiliation at all in my car

I don't know if this is 'blower motor' related, but i do not have any ventilation controls at all in my car. I can open the vent and turn it to 'heat' to get some warm air flowing in the morning, but when i flip the switch from 1-4, i get nothing. I searched previously, and it only mentions when setting 4 works, it may be your blower motor.

So what could it be if i have nothing?


The mornings are getting a little more chilly day by day up here, and it'll be so nice to get the heat working when i want it...... any help here?

check fuses first! then go from there...did this just happen or has it always been like this?

Section 6413-0 in the ETM has your schematic. Ensure fuse 20 is good.

fuses 'looked' good. i bought it like this. (2mos ago). didn't fret about it because hey, it was hot as hell! lol.

if fuses ARE good.....what could be the culprit?

i would check to see if theres any power getting to the switch, and if not follow the wires to the fuse box and see if it was moved to another spot. when i got mine, its blower was not working and i came to find out that the fuse spot for the blower was burned out so the po moved it to the heated seats fuse since i have no heated seats. but that may not be the case...you should also check the resistor.

I would recommend you go get yourself a cheap testlight and actually TEST your fuses.

That way you will know if the circuit is actually live, see?

update: found out that the PO had a 5a fuse in fuse 20. fixed it. i can has ventilation/ac/heat nao....

just as an fyi, when the blower only works on setting 4 and there is no noise from the blower....you only need to replace the resistor not the whole blower motor
Too many parts changers around here, understand why things happens and go from there....you'll save money and learn something while you're at it
