So, today i went and checked out a 1991 318is but it's gotta strange problem. When you drive it and get above 20mph there's some kinda weird noise. When you get above like 20mph, it sounds like some metals grinding on each other combines with the noise of an engine idling at 3k rpms. The rpm needle works normally, just when you're crusing at 40 mph it sounds like the car is idling at 3k rpms when you let off the gas and grinding noises at the same time, but when you give it gas it's just the grinding you hear.
I've talk to a few people, so far i got, wheel bearing, center support bearing, etc. It also has slight vibration around the transmission area when you get it up to about 4-5k rpms.
any help is appreciated, thanks 8)
