Cutting the rear apron of 318iS for dual tips

So I'll be putting a Magnaflow muffler on my 318iS tomorrow and since its only a single tip outlet, I'll need to make it wide enough for these dual tips. When the muffler shop puts it on will they do that, or will I need to have it already done for them?

I've tried using a jigsaw with no luck, as the rear apron isn't stiff enough and just kind of wobbles

So if you know of a good way to cut the rear apron so I can fit some dual tips that would be nice (that's if the shop doesn't do ti for me)

    don't do it like this:

yup, that is the previous owner's handiwork, so that he could put in this horrendous fart cannon:

So needless to say i ditched the giant bumblebee rice can and put in the stock exhaust pictured in the first pic.

I would never bring myself to do that to my car. It's not like I'm putting in a gross fart cannon. I'm putting in the very popular Magnaflow 14815 muffler w/ the dual tips.

        Grinder or a hand saw.

        It'll take some time.

The muffler shop will most likely do that for you if you ask/pay them to. How much they will charge or how good it turns out is between you guys.

The easiest way to do it though would be to use an air saw.

I don't have the resources for an air saw. And I'm really not looking to pay them more to cut it out . Being 17 blows.

Luke I'll have to give you a call tomorrow as I'm busy today, unless you're free after like 5? I'll just give you a call then and we'll work it out.

                  Nope, no chance after 5.

Both of my pool teams are in playoffs, so Tuesday and Wednesday are busy nights.

Wednesday is fine though, but only before 4:00.
