    Light brake pedal... O_o

I've heard about 91' 318iS' having a light brake pedal. Is this a common "thing" for them?

As in the actual pedal made out of plastic? My 89 325i had that too.

I mean the pedal goes all the way down to the floor, the brakes work.. but it bushes down past the gas, so it makes heel and toe hard to do...

that would depend on the master cylinder

and I'm 95% sure 325i's and 318's had the same one

You need to bleed your brakes!

Or your master is fucked... Bleed first and if that doesn't help, pull the master and look for fluid in the booster.

Yeah, they probably didn't bleed them. No one ever does, yet everyone should.

Might as well flush the system while you have the wheels off, probably hasn't been done in years or ever.

x2, I change my fluid completely every two years or so. It can absorb moisture from the air and cause squishy brakes. The fluid could probably go much longer if it had to, but brake fluid is cheap and it's not too bad of a job.

                        Additional info:

The fluid was replaced and flushed along with the lines being redone in the summer of '08
