window regulator replacement

so i have the door card all taken off and i read through the bentley on how this is done but my window is stuck all the way up making it impossible to access the bolts that hold the window on. also the illustration in the bentley is very unclear and looks nothing like the real thing. does anyone have any advice on how to remove the regulator. btw the regulator is the kind with the big gear not the cable kind that i'v seen while searching

Not sure if you can remove the bolts to lower the whole thing down inside the door and remove the glass (pull it up and out) and then remove the motor assembly?

I think that's how I did it, and IIRC 5 bolts on each side.

are you saying to pull the glass itself up and out because it is locked in the window frame and won't budge also i felt around and is there any bolts holding the window to the regulator or is it just resting in those plastic wheel like things

if this is the case i was just thinking i could unbolt the whole regulator and lower it down a little and then i would have room to pull the window up and off the wheels.

i just don't want to end up in a situation where i can't get the window back on the new regulator and have no window at all haha
