    no start batery good

After sitting most of the summer my 89 325ix doesn't want to turn over. Battery is a good Optima that holds charge-contacts in trunk are good-starter replaced lat year. I just get a little click-sounds like it is coming from the starter area and then nothing. Could it be wire harness connector under the manifold or a possible relay to look for? Thanks in advance..

Hearing only a click from the starter will be:

    1) Discharged battery
    2) Bad primary power or ground connection
    3) Bad starter

In this case I'd start by checking the battery. If fully charged it should be at 12.7v. Anything less than 12.4v (75% charge) may not allow the car to start. Then I'd check the primary power connections from the battery to the starter and check the engine ground strap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Pull plugs shoot some 3 in 1 in the cylinders as it has been some time since its had oil in them. Have you load tested the battery?

        daaaaaaa..
Seems Ok. I suspect the ground strap from battery to 1/4 panel was funky. Now to get rid of the mold on the inside.. Smells like ASS.. This had to be the wettest summer I can remember in NY State. Thanks for the input..
