    bumper shocks rebound ?

my 91 318 was hit in the back, by some shmuck, who did not leave a nqame or anything. luckily it did no body damage except put a white mark on the bumper and shove it toward front , squarely.
    but they have not "rebounded"
    are they supposed to ?

( this happened about 4 days before I left town, have not been home yet, just wondering )

No, they will not 'rebound.' You will need to replace it, or pull it back out which would limit its impact absorbing properties. Once they are collapsed, you gotta replace.

You could just tuck the rear bumper (or, leave it tucked).. but then next time you probably wouldn't be so lucky.

dude half the job is done for you! Do the front and be happy...I would though get under there and check for any frame damage

crap, that stinks, sold a full set of plastic bumpers with shocks a few months ago at the ""euro in the valley" meet
so gotta to find out whqatt models interchange, as finding a plastic bumper e30 in a wrecking yard around my home town is impossible (Corvallis Oregon)
