Throttle? AFM? Gas? NO IDEA!! HELP!!

well my sisters car just got here, and it was running fine until I went to drive it today... for the first 5 minutes it runs fine, and accelerates to speed,, once it get some heat, it will only let me throttle it 1/4 way if that... After 1/4 throttle the intake lets out a deep growl, the motor winds down, and sometimes it makes a loud POP! Sometimes if I hold it down enough it'll shut the motor off...
I took apart the airbox and there was no air filter in it, which doesn't seem like it should be the problem.. I was thinking AFM, or possibly a throttle angle sensor??
Has anyone ever had this problem? She just left to go get her tags, and I want her to to be able to drive it today!! I have a new AFM or throttle body if that's the case... PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!

oh and also, the coolant and washer fluid sensors are non-existant,, might the coolant sensor have something to do with it?

when i was messing around with an m30 afm on my car it would do that same pop thing and not let me go past 1/4 throttle or it would start bogging but i adjusted the wheel in the afm to make the mixture right. Its possible the afm is goign out and the car is running rich.

Well I changed out the AFM and the Throttle body (hopefully the gasket holds up :() but it seemed to work the first time I drove it, but the second time, it did the same thing... Well when she got home she drove it 20 minutes and said it was fine... This car is fickle, i'm tellin ya.. I suppose if the problem happens again, I should try adjusting that AFM wheel? Could it be anything else other than the AFM or the TPS??
