    Cruise control

Any one know anything about cruise control not working? Could it be fuse, wiring, relay etc.
    Thanks

    Barry:

There are several things to check when the cruise control isnt working. First, the speed sensor in the differential may be worn out or the connector wires may be corroded. If the speed sensor doesn't work, the cruise control unit can't establish the car's exact speed. One tell-tale sign of a speed sensor problem is if your speedo needle fluctuates. Second, check the switches on the brake pedal and (if you have a manual trans) the clutch pedal. These switches interrupt the cruise control when braking or pressing in the clutch. They sometimes wear out. Third, there is a chance that the control "brain" has gone bad. Its located above the glove box near the ECU. Finally, pull and inspect your fuses (nos. 6, 10, 11 and 21) and then pull and inspect your rear brake light bulbs. The fuses often dont show they are blown when you just see them in the fuse block. Also the rear bulbs must be working in order to complete the electrical circuit in the system.

Let us know what you find.

Check fuse, I put the wire in the top hole, not sure it matters but everything works fine. I find that wiring causes a lot of things to go wrong on these cars, especially when they get up in age.

                Hay Matt,

Check out Yoga wrench above. My problem was simple.
