Well, I checkd the fuses. they were fine. Then I decided to ride the idle until the engine warmed. Once it was warm, the engine ran w/o shutting off and stayed pretty stable at 6-700 idle. Sounds a little rough still. I restarted w the engine warm...still would not stay running w/o riding the idle ???
I don't think there is a vacuum leak b/c all hoses replaced last summer. I sprayed brake cleaner on the hoses and did not notice any increase on the idle.
Similar thing happened to me when I had my M42. I was driving and as I was pulling up to a light the car started to sputter like crazy. Wouldn't hold idle either.
The fix was a spare ECU that I had...see if can swap out with someone.

That doesn't mean you don't have a vacuum leak. I'd still check everything. Start by pulling the intake boot off and looking at that. Tears inside the folds can be hard to see while it is on the car.
The fact it ran better when warm makes me think cold start valve or temperature sensor.
I ended up getting it to drive by just letting the car run for a couple of minutes and driving it around the block. The idle is improved and pretty stable now, but still not as responsive. Now I think its a exhaust leak.
