    How much is a carrier bearing?

    I have a '87 325is auto and need to replace the carrier bearing. Anyone know how much it is?

    Hmm, not sure about that..........are you talking about one of the bearings in the differential?? (some folks call the rear diff the "carrier".....)

    It may be cheaper to just buy a used diff and swap it out.... You should have a 3.73LSDiff, they usually sell for ~250-350 used, depending on mileage, etc...

      a carrier bearing is inside your differentail, if that needs to be replaced you'd be better off getting a whole new used differentail, honestly, you'd pay more in labor for swapping the bearing than a new diff would cost, if you need one, i have 3 for sale, check the retail classifieds down towards the bottom of the page.
