gas tank pressure

I need to know how to repressurize my fuel tank.Prev owner dented bottom of drivers side tank. I removed the sending unit to knock the dent down,put the unit back in and now it takes 3times as long to fill up:(!

Sounds like the vent tube might be plugged or kinked.
