    looking to buy a car....

looking to buy a car, found an IX (1990) that I like, however seller says this:

the car has a bogging problem, kinda like a fuel cut making go into a limp mode. with the o2 sensor plugged, i found out that the car will only go into this limp mode at 50+. but when you unplug the o2 sensor the car runs fine, but is running really rich and can go up to 60 on the highway.

anyone know whats wrong, and if its a cheap"ish" fix? thanks

the check engine light is not on... he unplugged the o2 sensor so its obviously on right now, however when plugged in it runs like crap and a quick reset yields no light, said something about a stomp test returning the o2 sensor code, but ill have to confirm that, would a faulty o2 sensor cause all those problems?
