heater core, which one ?

have a 91 318ic build date 11/90
parts list 2 different heater cores, one with outlets side by side, one with outlets on different sides
both for a 91 318ic manual tranny m42 ( as listed in parts sheets, duhh)

question is....is there a way to know before pulling things apart, so I can have the correct one on hand for a one evening swap


also, anyone know a better price then pelicans at 139 for the side by side

You can pull the center console in around 5 minutes to find out exactly which heater core you have. You probably have the side-by-side, but it pays to order stuff once. Don't forget to order the o-rings when you get the new core.
