Bad temp switch causing high idle?

Been chasing a high idle for awhile on the car now. 83 323i At start up car idles high at 1000 rpm and steady, but once it warms up after around 5min of driving at idle it's around 2.5 to 3k RPMs. Question is could the time temp switch cause this problem. #`12 in the pic

    Or maybe a bad AFM?

My high idol was a combination of the ICV and also the throttle position censor. My idol started jumping up and down and also in general high idol when it was not jumping, I replaced the ICV and it still idoled wierd and did not rev down verry fast, I was messing with the throttle position censor and found if i pressed up on it it would make the car idol normal so I put a couple zip ties to press it upwards (doesnt move up, just the pressure of pushing it up helps it) untill I can take the time to replace/diagnose.

Hmm will try this. Thanks for the tip. Especially that when I put the car in gear idle drops to normal
