z3 rack, tie-rods?

anyone know if the e30 tie rods are used when going with the z3 or the 95m3 steering rack?

i have way too much play up front and want to put on my new tie rods, but fear my rack is more toast than the balljoints.

You can use the E30 or E36 tie rods

so this means there is no difference in rack widths, or the tie rod lengths between e30-e36??

You can use either ones. If there is a difference in widths or lengths, it will just be adjusted out during the alignment.

What he said. ...and don't skip out on the alignment after messing with the rack or rods. I ruined my front tires by trying to be cheap and not getting it done after my E36 steering rack swap. I hated my steering swap until I finally got the alignment done - now I love it!

fyi, the e36 tie rod ends are bulkier and will not fit in a 14" bottle cap barrel.
