    car overheat, pinkish fluid in radiator reservoir

    Car overheat today, open the radiator reservoir...pinkish fluid came out...

    Just replaced water pump and thermostat few weeks ago.

    What could be the problem?

    is it an autotragic? there is a cooling circuit in the rad for the auto tranny and dexron atf is red . There are long life antifreezes however which are red in color.

      its an automatic.....so what's the solution? bad radiator? bad bleed?

        Probably the tubing in the radiator that cools the trany fluid has sprung a leak. New radiator time. That is the only way trany fluid can get in the coolant.

          and a 5 speed swap cause your trans is gonna die pretty soon if ATF got in it.

              I'd try flushing the coolant with new, and see if it comes out red again. That and piece together e 5-speed swap or another auto.
