    Instrument Cluster Swap

So my odometer died and i have the supereta tach for my e2i conversion..so i got a WHOLE motometer cluster from a 89 325i. I swapped the entire thing, wondering if you need to do anything to make the 7k rather than the 6k tach work correctly? I dunno if its right...says I'm idling around 700...but on my tach on the supereta cluster..says I idled at 950-1000. I have the 325i ECU w/ Dinan Chip...if that matters. Just curious if my rpm's are accurate....is there any way i can check to see if its right?

The only way to tell which cluster (if either) is indication correctly is to get an independent measurement of RPM. That could be done with an accessory tachometer or engine diag system.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
