Cant budge the diff fill plug any hints

Using the BavAuto BMW specific hex bolt socket and a ratchet ( I broke two trying to get this thing off), I CANNOT even budge the differential fill plug off.

Glad I didnt get the drain plug off FIRST...right??/!!

Anyway, I sprayed with pen oil and let sit, not overnight or anything, but about an hour, still wont budge.

Any ideas? I need a short breaker bar I guess. Mine is a 1/2 inch drive and the BavAuto socket is 3/8 drive, wont match.

    Any other ideas though??

*or an 1/2 => 3/8 adapter, thats a recipie for breaking bolts....and sockets.

*for mine i think i just cut up a 10mm hex wrench and used a 10mm 1/2in socket on it.

*when i couldn't break my crankshaft end bolt i just took it the gas station around the corner and had them get it off with an impact. didn't charge me, but you could probly throw the guy a 5er if hes a nerd.

        Adapter and a long bar.

Make a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF for a penetrating oil. Let it sit for 30 min.

Pick up a 3/8" breaker from Sears and slide a jack handle over the breaker for more leverage if needed. Diff plugs often stick pretty bad, just make sure you've cleaned all of the crud out of the center of the plug so the hex socket fits all the way in, otherwise you might round it out.

Nevermind a ratchet, unless you want to ruin it. A breaker bar and some muscle will do the trick!

Reasons like this one is why I tell all my mechanic under me to take out the fill plug before you drain the fluid. They look at me stupid until I will them why.

Have you tried heating it? If you've never done this which you haven't b/c it didn't occur to you watch out for oils and gas they will ignite. I take a mapp torch and heat around the plug for one minute. Then try. Just take it to a driveline shop and surprise them, they can get it.
