What is the correct functionality of this thing? I get no flow through the heatercore when attempting to blow on the lower port, but when I blow on the upper port, I do get flow from the upper to lower port. Condition is the same regardless of key/temp position.

BTW- I did feel the valve do something when I turn the dial all the way to cold. We'll see though.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

When you apply power to the heater valve it closes (no flow/no heat). When power is removed it is open (heat). Double-check your hoses on the firewall. The top hose should be the spider hose that goes to the back of the thermostat housing (front of engine). The lower hose should be the hose that attaches to the head (next to the firewall).

As for the lines-- I had no heat this way but maybe it was related to my heating valve. Thanks for the post!
