    SOS -Installing shaft and differential-

1- Anyone know the right order to put them back? Having a hell of time putting them back.

2- Can #3 be removed without any drawbacks?

#3 is commonly removed when you do a short shifter, it usually gets in the way.

Throw away part #3. The only negative affect of doing so is the possibility of a slight increase in vibration from the drive shaft.

As far as re-installing in the car, leave the collar nut loose and collapse the drive shaft. I like to reattach the differential end first, loosely mount the center support bearing and reattach the forward end last. you will need the transmission in neutral and the rear wheels off the ground in order to rotate the drive shaft to reach each of the bolts.

I always use new self-locking nuts to the guibo and drive flanges. In a pinch you can use Locktite in lieu of neew nuts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
