e30/e36 rear wheel bearing, half shaft interchangable?

I think i need a new rear bearing on the pax side. and i have the driver side rear end assemby from a e36 (98 325i or 328i).

Can i take the bearing and axle and put it on my 85 318i manual?

Something tells me no... as normal E36's had a totally different rear suspension design and geometry.. But hey, give it a shot and let us know lol.

I don't think the E36 halfshafts will bolt up to the E30 diff and vice versa.

        Maybe Ti parts?

ti parts will.. with some modification IIRC..

I remember when I was a 'ti guy, people would swap to e30 diffs and either modify their halfshafts or just use E30 ones.
