trunk lock problem

I went to open the trunk today and realized... i can't. Like normally that lock sticks out and you push it in to pop the trunk. well the lock cylinder thing is jammed in and won't come back out. i can put the key in and turn it about a quarter turn but that does nothing. my golf clubs are stuck in there and i need em this afternoon. any quick fix solutions?

Drill it?
I completely pulled apart my trunk lock to convert it to power lock so i know a bit about them and i can't think how to get round your problem. Is it possible to get some sort of hook and pull the button out again?
