    What is the ICV??

What is a ICV and where is it located, I'm experiencing 1500 rpm idles when i finally do start.

    Whats an ICV?
    Should i check/clean that?
What do i clean it with?
What lines exactly should i check for leaks?

I believe if there is a leak that could be the reason why i can't crank up on the first 7 tries with full power and when i do, i idle too high...

I know its a rookie question, but if you don't know you should ask or research, thats how i was raised

      Thanx

Possible you could post a pic of what one looks like for a 87 325e?

cant wait to get this problem fixed hopefully it really is a leak so much more cheaper for me to fix than what the other mechanics was telling me

Excuse the 2.7L turbo stroker in the background.

The ICV is on the top of the engine just to the front/right of the intake manifold.

Lol, i will but its hard too... so look i just went out to the car and put my hands around the the 3 fuel lines that connect to the T bracket and they are all pulsating instead of running smoothly..

Also where the thing that the Blue clip plugs into, that fuel line running into that, had gas leaking out... I tightened it but could these factors indicate anything?

That fuel leak is likely your hard starting issue. Try starting it with the ICV disconnected and see if your idle evens out. Fix that fuel leak before anything though.

Ah so if it evens out w/o icv connected then i know its the icv that caused all of this...

The fuel is fixed but are the fuel lines suppose to feel pulsating like that i figured they would be smooth

well upstream from that tee there should be a disc shaped thing, it is a pulsation damper is there one there or did the PO remove it?

Mine did. I had rough and high idle. I disconnected the ICV and it smoothed out. I'm new to BMW engines. I'm a Volvo guy. I am however learning quickly as I build my SETA turbo stroker.
