    Damn high idle...

My car (325e) has recently started to idle pretty high at about 1200 rpm. It seems like this happens every winter, and I'm not sure why. The adjustment screw is turned all the way in on the ICV, and it hasn't really been touched sinced the summer when it ran fine. I first got the car in the winter a few yrs ago, and I had the ICV replaced with a used one because the idle was surging a lot. That fixed it. But every winter after that I would get a high idle and some very minor surging. Should I just replace the ICV? Or are there any other means of fixing my idle?

    Thanks.

that adjustment screw, once set, should pretty much never be touched again. just so you know.

Yeah, it happens all the time. It usually gets worse the colder it gets. The idle has started to jump around a bit within the last few days, so I try to manually drop the idle by putting in gear and pressing on the brake while releasing the clutch. This usually stops it from bouncing around. But I guess I'll just have to live with it for now and wait until the weather warms up (a few months...).
