    Steering Wheel Air Bag removal.

So I'm finally throwing in the cruise control into my 1991 318is. Gotta remove steering wheel and airbag for the control stalk on column. Disconnected battery and have airbag out but not unplugged just yet. Any concern with SRS light staying on if I disconnect it with battery off? Thanks

No, and don't reconnect the battery until everything is reassembled.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

And just to be safe, grab or touch a metal surface every once in a while when you are working on that stuff - you'll remove any static charge that may be on you.

Can't be too safe with that crap. It will break your neck.
