    Blower Motor Resistor, Whats the difference?

    I ordered a blower motor resistor the other day and they sent me this:

    This



    The one that is in the car looks like this:

    This



    So my question is, what is the difference between the 2? I looked at what applications both fit, and they both seem to be about the same.

    Anybody know the difference? Thanks.
    I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

    Its prob just design. Do they work the same?

      They look like they work the same, but they do not plug in the same. One has bullet terminal style plug in (the 1st one) and the other one is a spade style plug (the lower one)

        If the connector is different, you have the wrong part. Send it back and get the right part.

            There was 2 options on e30s. ive seen both. i usually order both then return the one i didnt use.
            1989 325i Alpine s52 coupe
            2003 540i M-Sport 6 speed
            2003 X5 3.0

              Second pic is the early version. The other came out around 89? Need to check ETK to verify that.

                I have an 89 and I have the second one, just replaced it last month.
