    Electrical problem?

I've had to have my car jump started two times in the past 3 days. The first time was because I forgot to turn my lights off. Then last night, my battery went dead again on me. I had just parked to pick up a friend. I turned my engine off, left the parking lights on for literally 10 seconds while I stood up to get my friends attention, and when I went to start the car back up, it was drained once again. Both times the car started up fine with jumper cables, but I had the battery checked today and my mechanic said it's fine. Any ideas of what my problem could be if it isn't the battery? Thanks

Also, I followed the bentley manual and tested the alternator and regulator, and got a reading of 13.5 volts which it says is a sign of a correctly operating system.

Your mechanic didn't test your battery correctly. If it can't hold a charge, then its no good.
You may also check for a key-off drain, but I'm willing to bet that the battery is spent.
