Ok, my turn I need some help and fast! m50 related

Ok, the last time I did the m50 swap I left the o2 heater wire unattached. Well this time i wired it as ORCA says. I do not know if this means anything, but it is just a little back ground info.

Here is the trouble. The engine starts fine. Runs well for about five minutes. when it heats up is when the trouble starts.

When the engine runs for a few minutes it starts to bounce. the ICV is working its heart out to keep things running.

When you flip the TB nothing realy happens; it reluctantly revs, but really slow and nausty.

I really do not know what else to say....

I cannot figure it out of the top of my head. I am going to try disconnecting that wire for the o2 sensor, but I do not think it will do anything.

I was thinking it could possibly be the alternator, going bad or poorly connected????

    AAAHHHHH!!!!!
I thought I had it all together!!!! Darn thing. It will probably be Saturday before I can really get into it, dang.

I think the key is your statement that "The engine starts fine. Runs well for about five minutes. when it heats up is when the trouble starts. "

Don't waste your time tracking down problems with the alternator or charging sys. Sounds like you've got a problem with the air/fuel mix- the ICV is trying to correct this - that's why you hear the engine fluctuating.

Check the coolant temp sensor, check for vacuum leaks (all rubber hoses + boots are suspect), make sure you have something connected to or plugging up all the holes. I'd check the ICV too, just to make sure it's not the problem, though I suspect it's not.

If the engine will not rev smoothly, it's not happy with the air/fuel mix it's getting- BTDT about 1000 times...

      Thanks for the info.

I swapped the intake, it was cracked. helped nothing.

I think it is the fuel filter...

You tried unplugging the O2 sensor, right?
