reinstall ecu

I feel like an idiot, I am having zero luck getting the connector back onto my ecu on my 1990 325is. oh i can put it on and lock it in place but its not firmly on the ecu itself more like the left hand corner is and the right pivots about.

any suggestions?

Went on easy last time i looked at it a year ago.

Make sure no pins are bent preventing the plug from making firm contact. Are you screwing the plug down into the ecu?
