    car won't start :(

Alright so last night I get off work and I get in my car and go to leave for home... Well she doesn't start up. The car is turning over fine so it doesn't sound like it's the starter and it's not the battery(tried jumping it).

It wasn't super cold outside either(around 8 degrees).

Anyone have any ideas as to what the issue could be?

The first thing to check would be to see if you have spark and normal pressure in the fuel rail.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Sounds like a gas issue or spark. Check if you hear a humming sound from the rear seat or under the car to see if your fuel pump is working. If you dont hear a hum whatsever then check the fuel pump relay.

Maybe your distributor is really moist or the coil is faulty. Pull the coil wire and carefully turn the egnition and see if it arcs.

to test for fuel: pull the fuel resend hose and put it in a bottle. crank the car, and it should fill with lots of gas.

to test for spark: pull one of the plugs, and ground it on something (intake manifold) but make sure you can see it from inside the car. I put it in vice grips (NOT the threads). Start the car and watch (and listen) for spark.

what happens in the above will determine what to do next.

you could always just have your friend start the car while you pull the plug wires and see if they arc. Just pull the plug wire and point it at the bolt on the valve cover. Ask your friend to start the car and you should see a little spark and a sound like "Tick , tick , tick" check each and everyone of the plug wires this way. This shows that your coil and distributor is working. Then pull the spark plugs out of the car and examine them see if they are in good condition and note the color of spark plug this will show how it is burning. Make sure they are gapped correctly. If your car will not start check also your crank sensor that is located right by the crank. Im sure some others will weigh in and help alot better than me.
