Anybody have experience with ebay chips?

    Like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Racin...item334fc17f4c

Obviously im not buying the horsepower numbers, but as far as freeing up the motor a bit and raising the redline are they any good?

    Thanks,
    Jesse

no experience with them but i hear they suck, stock is tuned well for stock injectors and such.

personally, i would not cheap out on something that has to do with engine management

buy a quality chip for best results

Even though it is a "race chip" i'd pass. Stick with Jim C or Mark D, well proven chips.

I had a MarkD and it sucked so I swapped it out for an ebay chip for the extra horsepowerz

I have a Proformance Ebay chip in my 318is. I couldn't tell if it was a placebo effect or if it really did gain power. I may have gained a little torque but The main reason i got it was for the extra r3vs for auto-x. Mission successful in my book.

like i said im not buying the bullshit, was just curious if it made even any remote gains. i'll go with my gut reaction on the whole thing and save up for either a tms or markd chip

I have bought 2 Dinan chips off ebay and they both have worked great. If I were to do it again and had money to burn I would go with a MarkD or JC.
