    Removing headlight lens

I have a passenger side Euro low beam with a broken bracket. The lens is in awsome shape and has a protective film over it. However I have a spare euro bracket with a lens already on the bracket and want to switch the good bracket onto the good lens with the protective film. My question is how do I remove the lens from the bracket? There is a grey glue substance keeping a seal. What seal should I buy after I remove the lens and reconnect? sorry for the long post.

It's kinda confusing what you are saying. Do you have two low beam assemblies? If so unscrew the assemblies and transfer the other to half assembly. If not do a search and you'll see that you use a hair dryer to evenly heat the lamp up to melt the glue then reset it with new glue.

i would think he means the glass half of the ellipsoid is broken, and wants to tranfer the good glass, onto another front half which has glass in worse condition.

i had this situation. i would think this is the same issue as mine, where the adjuster tabs are broken. i found the best solution in this case was to repair the adjuster tabs (screwing in and jbwelding new tabs on to replace the old ones, stronger then before it was broken). this way i did not have to worry about removing the glass, and making sure i resealed it properly afterwards.
