How the check to see if injectors are spraying normally?

my car has a shaky idle, rpms are stable, just the engine shakes the car at idle. i replaced motor mounts but it didnt help that well.

so now i think one or more of my cylinders arent firing like they should. i have a 85 318i. the car drives pretty well, execpt for this tiny problem.

do the code scanners detect a cylinder that isnt firing right?

why do i think its an injector? me and my friend bought a diesel f250 and it would shake like crazy on the test drive, so i thought it was motor mounts, but when we got it checked out, the mechanic said it one injector wasnt firing at all.

If it happens to be the injectors, they're either not working or they're clogged bad.

1)To check if it's working, see if they vibrate when you touch them while the car is running.
2)To check for clogs, you have to have a special BMW tool.

I would first make sure they're all working (touch something metallic against them and you'll feel the vibration/buzzing, then do your prefered fuel system clean.

A code scanner is useless on that car.
It doesn't have OBD or a check engine light.

            wow the seafoam kicked ass.

i dumped 1 bottle in the fuel tank (no time to go through vacuum lines). It rode like crap at first cuz i had 1/4 tank mixed with 1 can, but as soon as the seafoam got working and with the next tank, my car started riding 10x better.

Gas mileage has improved a tiny bit, before it was hard to keep the car at speeds, not it does it no problem. my idle is also a little smoother.

i highly recommend seafoam, im gonna get another bottle for the vacuum lines
