    Steering Quickener

    Has anyone thought about using one of these:


    Obviously "stock car" orientated

      Yeah, I would love to get something like that if it didn't require so much custom fabrication.

          I have been thinking about it for a while now. I've been busy with the engine and tranny swap for a while. I may try it come spring.

            Its not that I don't think fabrication is cool, its that I don't have the tools and the know-how to do it myself.

                I wonder if it interferes with how the collapsible steering column works. I wouldn't want a steering wheel forced in the chest during an accident.

                      Yeah, all cars from sometime in the late '60s have them standard. I believe the NHTSA mandated them.

                      The guibo in the steering column supposedly does have a role in it according to Gustave:
