    idle problems

I fired up my s50 after replacing the engine harness and my idle is acting a foooool. My idle is just a touch over 1 and the motor climes to 2, takes about 2 seconds, and stays at 2 for a second and then drops back to 1 and it starts over again.

I changed out my harness because I had a wire melt and take out some wires with it. When this happened my motor started to do this, so whatever happened, happened during the meltdown.

    ICV?

I meant this to go in the 24v section. A mod is welcome to move it.

What caused the harness damage and what wires were affected? The answers to those questions could help determine what other damage to sensors or the DME were done. Then again, it is possible the the idle problem is simply an intake leak introduced during the harness swap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

My guess as to what caused the problem was a power wire being grounded to the body. I believe it came from my gauge pod and a 12v that was powering the lights- my bad. I unplugged my icv and the idle is a lot better. Then I plugged it back in and the idle is just barely alive at .5. I guess I am ready to order a new icv.
